We booked the Chard Guildhall for an Evening event.  It is such a beautiful building and is meticulously maintained.  It's incredible to believe it is nearly 200 hundred years old, has seen 8 Monarchs accede the Throne and is still in perfect order.  We have been able to have around 100 people at the venue for the occasion and we were all comfortable with use of the bar and comfort facilities.
The staff who we booked the Guildhall through, clearly take great pride in the Guildhall and with their stewardship it will continue to be a wonderful venue for events like birthdays and other celebrations and get-togethers. This is such an excellent venue with a lovely atmosphere. The staff couldn't be more helpful and very professional in every aspect. Great sound system too and the lighting was perfect. The Guildhall staff, particularly Tim and Gary, were very helpful. The setting up for the Rotary Information Event was as we requested. The facilities such as the kitchen and area where we laid out a buffet was very clean.

Cannot thank the Guildhall team enough for providing us with a excellent venue for our Strictly Come Dancing Event.  Tim and Gary could not have been more helpful.  Gary in particular changed lighting, set up microphones and put out chairs to make things easier for us on the night.   The facilities were clean and tidy and the kitchen in good working order. Visiting the area so went inside to be thrown out by a rude dark haired man who raised his voice at me. I wouldn't recommend Visiting or trying to go to the cafe inside. Disgusting behaviour
