We are pleased that this year there will be a Kathina Festival on Sunday October 20th. Kathina Festival celebrates the end of the 3 month rainy season. This will be held in the same venue as last year: The Guildhall (aka Town Hall) in Chard.  The address is Fore Street, Chard TA20 1PP.
Please aim to arrive before 10.45am in time for the rice pindapat, which will be followed by the meal and then the ceremony in the early afternoon.  The venue is in the centre of Chard and there is plenty of car parking nearby – several car parks plus some on-road parking on Fore St itself. Note that the Home Bargains car park at the rear of the hall only allows parking for up to 2 hours.
