The Mayor traditionally hosts a Christmas concert every year in collaboration with the local schools to raise money and awareness for the Mayor's Charities, this year being Chard Young People's Centre and Chard Carers Support Group. Tickets available in advance, only from the Guildhall reception. Adults £2.50 Children under 14 £1.00

Chard History group meets monthly at Chard Guildhall with a very varied programme of presentations from guest speakers, covering both Somerset and further afield and a wide range of subjects.
